Stockholm: Sweden´s King Carl XVI Gustaf is “feeling properly” after a scheduled surgical process on Monday morning, the Swedish Royal Courtroom stated.
The courtroom had introduced final week the process, describing it as a “laparoscopic (keyhole) surgical procedure within the coronary heart space” that had been suggested by the 76-year-old king´s doctor.
“The operation has gone in accordance with plan and the king is feeling properly,” the courtroom stated in an announcement Monday.
It added that the king was grateful for “all of the help and heat proven to him” as he marks this yr 50 years on the throne.
The courtroom stated final week that the king´s official engagements between the surgical procedure and March 3 had been postponed to later within the spring.
Born on April 30, 1946, Carl Gustaf Folke Hubertus Bernadotte was 9 months previous when his father, Prince Gustaf Adolf, was killed in a airplane crash in Denmark.
